Is your character willing to have sex and able to give informed consent?
Yes
What is the wish your character made? Why did they make it? He wishes he turned away from Sakazuki when he had the chance. Or at the very least managed to save both himself and Luffy so he could see Luffy might achieve his dreams. He doesn’t know how his wish would be granted, considering he is dead and knows it, but he made it anyway because he doesn’t want to break the promises he made. He promised Luffy he wouldn’t die. He promised Otama he’d bring her with him when she was older, and promised she wouldn’t have to worry about food one day. He promised Yamato he’d come back and free him from his chains —there are lots of things he’s left unsaid. He wants a second chance, and this is his opportunity to get it.
How will your character initially react to Decadia's setting? Honestly, Ace is going to just roll with the punches. While being monitored 24/7 isn’t going to sit well with him, what can he really do? He’s always been an easy going guy, making the most of life and shitty situations, so Ace is going to make the most of it. It’s his second chance at life, a chance to make up for lost time despite not being certain he knows anyone. Ace has always been one to question if he deserved life, if he deserved to be born at all. Bring given a chance like this means he gets to earn it, even if it's by odd means attached to even odder circumstances.
While in Decadia, he’ll take the opportunity to make new connections, lean on people a little more because in life he didn’t take the time to do that. He often tried to go it alone, reckless to the very end. Whether it was to prove to himself he could do it without anyone, or to prove to those he became attached to that he could pull his own weight, who's to say? He's going to try to do less of that here regardless, try to let people care about him without looking to see if there are strings attached.
What are you most interested in doing with your character in Decadia? Exploring what it means to be alive and live, as well as making deeper connections than he had previously. Ace may have had deep connections in life but they were clouded by the ever present fear that he didn’t deserve to be alive. He lived in the shadow of his father (even if most people didn’t know he was Roger’s kid) and didn’t quite know his worth until it was too late. So I’d like to explore that more. What makes life worth living? No one will really know who Gol D. Roger is, and not having the weight on his shoulders of being the pirate king’s son will have him opening up more.
What aspect of sex appeals to your character the most? Outside of the physical aspect, what appeals to him the most is the vulnerability of the act itself. Stripping down nude (or keeping clothes on, he’s not picky), baring yourself to your partner is such a trusting process, that he enjoys that the most. Someone trusts him enough to give themselves over, and take what they want.
That is to say, he’s also not opposed to sex with no strings, but there always is some sort of emotional connection. He’s also very into ensuring his partner enjoys themselves, focusing more on their pleasure than his own.
Does your character have any kinks, known or unknown to them? If so, what are they? Ace’s kinks would be pretty varied, but one he hasn’t quite explored (or even really thought about) is somnophilia. Ace suffers from narcolepsy, and unfortunately that affects him in ways that he can’t predict. If he falls asleep in the middle of something, could his partner continue? Consensual non-consent in this sense is a turn on, and with some degree of talking, he’d like to pursue it. That is, once he understands it’s a kink for him to begin with. While the narcolepsy is played for a gag in the manga, I’d like to explore more of the realties of the whole thing.
Bondage is one he’d be familiar with, both being on the giving and receiving ends. While he may have some hang ups now due to his incarceration under the Marines, and how they restrained him, it’d be something he’s willing to explore again with a trusted partner. Something about the control or lack thereof is inherently attractive.
His kinks are not limited, and he is eager and willing to try something new so long as it doesn’t hit his hard no’s. His easy going approach to life would be a benefit for exploration, whether it’s for himself or for his partner.
